How OSAP works for Mississauga students
Mississauga is one of Ontario's largest cities, with colleges and universities in and around the city. OSAP decides eligibility and amounts using its own rules, including dependency status and program designation. Check the official OSAP designation list for your program.

Before we talk, gather a few things.
A short list is enough. We use it to talk about programs and cost, not to fill in forms for you.
- Your admission or enrolment letter, if you already have one.
- The programs and schools you are comparing, with any notes.
- Where you live now and where you plan to study.
- The study period or intake you have in mind.
- Any letters or messages you have already received from OSAP.
- Is my program designated for OSAP?
- What are the tuition and fees for the whole program, not just the first term?
- When is the next intake, and what is the last date to accept an offer?
- Which office confirms my enrolment, and who do I contact if my aid payment is late?

Questions from Mississauga students
Is my school or program approved for OSAP?
Approval is specific to each institution and program. Check the official OSAP designation list for your program and intake year before you apply.
I live in Mississauga with my parents. Does their income affect my OSAP?
It can. OSAP assesses whether you are a dependent or independent student using its own rules, and a dependent student's family income may be part of the assessment. OSAP alone decides your status. We can explain in general terms how it works.
Can Mississauga students get in-person help choosing a program?
Yes. Our Brampton office at 83 Kennedy Road South is open weekdays 9:30am-6:30pm, or you can WhatsApp us.
